Ministry of Health (Ministry) would like to respond on the issue raised by YB Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat and St John Ambulance Malaysia (SJAM) related to the licence of the Haemodialysis Centre in Taman Maju Jaya, Pandan as stated in the Nanyang Siang Pau on 14 June 2012.

In total, Ministry have received sixteen (16) applications from SJAM from 9 October 2006 to 5 July 2011. All applications had been reviewed and found did not comply with the basic requirements to be licensed by the Ministry as a haemodialysis centre.

This information had been conveyed formally by letters to the applicant. Up to date, there was no appropriate response from SJAM.

Ministry will not hesitate to issue the licence once SJAM complies with the basic requirements.
