COVID-19 Management Befitting the World’s

                                                                                                       Malaysia’s early success in managing the pandemic were
                                                                                                       highly commended by international bodies, including the
                                                                                                       World Health Organization and being ranked the second most
                                                                                                       successful country out of 49 in the fight against COVID-19,
                                                                                                       based on an evaluation report by NLI Research Institute, a
                                                                                                       Japanese think-tank.

                                                                                                       Over and above these global recognitions, amidst the ongoing
                                                                                                       pandemic, Malaysia reclaimed the coveted ‘Destination of the
                                                                                                       Year’ and ‘Cluster of the Year’ titles, each for the fourth time at
                                                                                                       the International Medical Travel Journal (IMTJ) Medical Travel
                                                                                                       Awards 2020 in London and was listed as a Finalist for the
                                                                                                       ‘Outstanding Response to COVID’ award.

                                                                                                       These recognitions have further solidified Malaysia’s position
                                                                                                       as the World’s Healthcare Marvel. Armed with the confidence
                                                                                                       in our capacity to uphold the safety of the nation and incoming
                                                                                                       international patients, Malaysia became among the first
                                                                                                       countries to open a healthcare travel bubble.
