Post MCO Plan & Return to Work Policy
A cordon sanitaire or the Movement Control Order (MCO)
[Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP)], is a preventive
measure put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19.
While important, on its own, this measure is insufficient to
break the chain of infection. As such, the biggest challenge
remained when the MCO was lifted. Here, organisations
were tasked to enforce new norms. As a return-to-work
strategy, establishments must adapt to a new business
model whereby SAFETY remains the overriding theme.
In principle, the post-MCO plan & return to work policy
comprises two main principles:
1. Policies to protect the healthcare workers
at the working place
2. Modification on service provision
1. Temperature scanner to monitor the

employee’s temperature before entering
the work place
2 3 2. Signage to instruct individuals to queue
up for temperature scanning
3. MySejahtera QR code to be scanned
before entry to premise
