Subject matter experts

The Medical Programme served as the
Subject Matter Expert for PPE. It was
important to ensure product specifications
and its quality standards met the requirements
against COVID-19, in accordance with WHO
and Center for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC) recommendations. It was essential to
make certain that the preparation of product
specifications and technical evaluation
were done in a transparent, thorough, and
comprehensive way. A correct selection of
product was essential to ensure a quality
supply of PPE.

Distribution

All PPE items acquired through this Central
Emergency Procurement were strategically
distributed to MOH facilities according to
their current needs. The Medical Programme
used the data collection system on PPE usage
and stock monitoring as a guide to ensure
distribution was done according to needs and
urgency.
