perinatal period (9.45 peratus).

Jumlah kematian (bagi semua punca) yang direkodkan di hospital KKM meningkat 3.2
peratus daripada 62,422 kematian pada 2018 kepada 64,394 kematian pada 2019.
Mulai tahun 2014, penentuan penyebab kematian di hospital KKM adalah berdasarkan
kepada underlying cause of death seperti yang disarankan oleh Pertubuhan Kesihatan
Sedunia (WHO). Penyakit sistem peredaran darah merupakan punca kematian yang
tertinggi di hospital KKM yang dicatatkan pada 2019 (21.80 peratus), diikuti oleh
penyakit sistem pernafasan (20.65 peratus) dan penyakit berjangkit (12.15 peratus).
